Forgot to mention that Maia is afraid of Cookie Monster.
Yep. She hasn't shown fear of anything up until this point. But we finally found something she is afraid of. I am not sure if it's any image of Cookie Monster...we haven't tried that out yet. But my nephew Cole has a 10" tall furry Cookie Monster doll that eats plastic cookies, that then drop into a backpack he is wearing. We were at his party and Maia was staring at it, until someone turned it on. Then her eyes got pick, and she turned and reached for whoever was holding her, looking back at Cookie Monster with concerned eyes. This was tried a few more times throughout that evening (not by me though, I thought that was mean), and each time, she wanted nothing to do with it, though she WAS eyeing it to keep an eye on it. And when we were there on New Years Eve, it didn't get turned on, but as soon as she spotted it, she made a sound of concern and turned away from it, reaching for anyone that would pick her up. So Cookie Monster was sent up to Cole's room for time-out.
Guess we'll have to be careful about Sesame Street...see if it's just the doll, or him in general. Funny and cute...but obviously we aren't going to torture her.
