It's been a while...life is crazy, sorry. It will be a while before I have time to post pictures. Which is a shame, because Maia is SOOOO darn cute! She is also growing by leaps and bounds. So much so, that she will be moving up at Daycare. On Monday, she moves up to the Infant B room, which is where the new "walkers" go (up to 18 months). Yes, she is walking...everywhere. First it was just a few steps. Then it was going between objects for a few steps. Then it was longer and longer stretches. And now she just walks anywhere, and does turns, and stops to just stand there, and she can even crouch down to pick something up and carefully stand back up with it. If she accidentally falls, she crawls to the nearest object that allows her to stand up again. That's all she wants to do, is walk places. If she walks up to you in joy, to be hugged, it's only for a moment...and then she wants to get back down again and move off to explore. Oh, but you had better stay near her, because she doesn't want to be left alone in her enclosed living room...you need to sit there and WATCH her explore and play...spoiled girl.
She is getting more verbal with her babbles. And she has a few words, though they are hard to recognize as such. Besides the usual "Dada" and "Mama", she does say Thank You but it sounds like "khaa khaa". I think she MIGHT be saying "up" when she wants to be picked up (since I use that word almost every time I go to pick her up). She knows the word "bottle" by sound, but I can't quite tell if she is saying it. I am trying to get her to say "please" when she wants something...so far it just comes out as a whine or a grunt...heh.
Okay, that's all I have time for. I definitely will try to get back here sooner and post pictures and such. Work and knitting and home life are all sucking up my time, and even sleep and sanity is suffering at this point.
